On Monday, top-rated Fox News host and anchor Jesse Watters made an announcement explaining his recent absence from the network’s popular shows featuring him, as well as sharing some positive news regarding his family.

“Watters welcomed his fourth child into the world on Monday, his wife announced in a post to Instagram,” the Daily Caller reported.

“We are so excited to announce the birth of our baby girl, Georgina Post Watters,” Emma DiGiovine Watters captioned the post that included photos. “We love her so much already!”

Photos posted online feature the couple smiling widely while holding their newborn.

The couple also has a two-year-old son, Jesse Bailey Watters Jr., born in April 2021. Watters, meanwhile, has twin daughters from his previous marriage to Noelle Inguagiato, The Daily Caller noted further.

Jesse Watters announced the good news on-air in December.

During a segment on “The Five,” co-host Greg Gutfeld jokingly began the segment by saying Jesse had a “life-changing announcement” to make. Watters jumped in and revealed that his wife is currently five months into her pregnancy and was expecting the child this month.

“My wife, Emma, is pregnant with a girl. So, we’re having a girl and she’s five months along which I think is halfway through,” Watters said, followed by a celebratory reaction from his fellow co-hosts. “And she looks fantastic, you can’t even tell that she’s pregnant.”

“The Five” panel celebrated the news, which included a few jokes from Gutfeld, who immediately asked why the couple would not allow their child to decide the gender.

In December, Watters made cable news history for hosting the most popular program in his timeslot in the history of the cable news industry.

“Jesse Watters Primetime,” which airs in the 7 p.m. EDT slot Monday through Friday, became the most-watched and highest-rated program in cable news history in 2022, according to a press release from the network.

FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said: “From America’s choice on election night to the home of late night’s smash hit show, 2022 was a testament to our unmatched skill in delivering the most innovative news and opinion programming to our audience which continues to rank as the most politically diverse in cable news. I am beyond proud of our entire team’s incredible achievements this year.”

During 2022, FNC scored the top 13 out of 15 programs in cable news with total viewers, including The Five, Tucker Carlson Tonight, Jesse Watters Primetime, Hannity, Special Report with Bret Baier, The Ingraham Angle, Gutfeld!, Outnumbered, America’s Newsroom, The Faulkner Focus, Your World with Neil Cavuto, America Reports and The Story. FNC also had the top 15 rated shows in A25-54 and the 13 highest-rated shows with the 18-49 demo.

FNC’s The Five continued to smash records this year. For the first time in television history, a non-primetime cable program closed out the year as cable’s most-watched in total viewers. Airing at 5 PM/ET, FNC’s late afternoon program crushed all daytime and primetime programming on CNN and MSNBC, garnering cable news’ largest audience in 2022 with 3,432,000 viewers and 465,000 in A25-54. Tucker Carlson Tonight was cable news’ highest-rated program in the A25-54 demo, averaging 523,000 viewers in A25-54 and 3,322,000 total viewers at 8 PM/ET.

Watters’ program has gained in popularity in large part due to his ability to engage with his audience. Last month, for instance, he became frustrated and urged Republican legislators and the American public to “wake up” following the indictment of former President Donald Trump by a New York grand jury.

The case pertains to Trump’s supposed participation in covert payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election, allegedly aimed at silencing Daniels regarding an affair they allegedly had in 2006.

“I’m starting to feel it right now. I’m mad about it, I don’t like it. The country’s not going to stand for it. And people better be careful, and that’s all I’ll say about that,” Watters said Thursday following the news of Trump’s indictment.

“I don’t think the left understands what they’re getting themselves into,” Watters added. “This country is already teetering. You have people who feel rightfully persecuted just for being conservatives … this was a very controversial election, this was a very controversial president, there have been a lot of bogus charges that have been flying around recently.”
