Sunny Hostin of the “The View” had a distateful comparison for suburban white women who want to vote for Republicans in the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.

“What’s also surprising to me is the abortion issue. I read a poll just yesterday that white Republican suburban women are not going to vote Republican,” Hostin said.

“Why?” Joy Behar asked.

“It’s almost like roaches voting for raid, right? It’s — it’s like they’re voting —“ Hostin began before getting interrupted by Alyssa Farah Griffin.

“I think that’s — no, it’s insulting to the voter. Wait, wait, no —“ Griffin retorted.

“They’re voting against — they’re voting against their own self-interest,” Hostin insisted.

“We talk on this show —“ Griffin said.

“Do they want to live in Gilead?” Hostin asked.

“OK. So, do we —“ Griffin tried to respond.

“Do they want to leave it in the hands of these —“ Hostin blurted out.

“Do we love democracy or not?” Griffin asked. “Because, I’m just saying that it’s — it’s insulting to the voter. People make decisions on what’s right for their family.”

At another part in the show Joy Behar ironically argued that being a Republican was like being in a cult.

“You’re not voting for Republicans, you’re voting for a cult,” she argued. “Remember that. It’s a cult, it’s not Republicans anymore.”

The poll that got Sunny Hostin riled up is a recent WSJ poll that shows suburban white women abandoning the Democratic Party ahead of the midterm elections.

“White suburban women, a key group of midterm voters, have significantly shifted their support from Democrats to Republicans in the closing days of midterm campaigning because of rising concerns over the economy and inflation, according to the latest Wall Street Journal poll,” WSJ reported.

“The survey, which included 297 white women living in suburbs, found that they favor Republicans in congressional races by 15 percentage points,” the report continued. “That represented a substantial shift in recent weeks among a group that makes up 20% of the electorate. In the Journal’s August poll, white suburban women favored Democrats by 12 percentage points. It also suggests that the topic of abortion rights has faded in importance after Democrats saw energy on that issue this summer in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.”

“We’re talking about a collapse, if you will, in that group on the perceptions of the economy,” said Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio who conducted the poll with Democratic pollster John Anzalone.

“The poll showed that 54% of white suburban women think the U.S. is already in a recession and 74% think the economy is headed in the wrong direction,” the story added.

“The movement comes as several voter groups are giving Republicans a boost in the final stretch before Election Day,” the report noted. “White suburban women were a powerful force in the Democrats’ sweeping victories in House races in 2018, when the party gained more than 40 seats, many of them in suburban districts, and retook control of the House. Democrats had been optimistic over the summer that abortion would help motivate this group to turn out and back their candidates in November.”

“According to the survey, rising prices were the top issue motivating these voters, with 34% putting that as their number one priority, followed by 28% citing threats to democracy and 16% choosing the Supreme Court overturning Roe,” the story noted. “White suburban women trusted Republicans over Democrats to handle the economy and inflation. They also expressed more negative views toward the state of the country and President Biden’s leadership compared with a previous survey in August.”

Meanwhile, a new poll reported at the Daily Wire found that “more than 70% of American voters in the 2022 midterm elections are not likely to vote for a candidate who supports allowing minors to undergo gender transition procedures.”

“According to the survey, nearly 80% of independent voters and 43% of Democrats join Republicans in opposing candidates who support allowing minors to medically transition,” the report noted.

“As with so many other election 2022 issues, the far left has gone too far in pushing unrestricted Transgender procedures for any child at nearly any age without any restrictions,” Mark Meckler, President of the Convention of States, said in a press release. “Voters–most of whom are parents–know that this policy goes wildly beyond common sense in a country where we restrict entertainment, alcohol use, medications, driving, voting, and even criminal sentencing for minors.”

Thus, the Democratic Party is not only losing suburban white women and independent voters over inflation, the economy, and crime, but they are also taking a severe hit in election support due to its extreme positions on social issues.
