Fox News late-night host Greg Gutfeld offered up a unique explanation on Wednesday for why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s face looks considerably younger than her 82 years. The California Democrat has long been rumored to be a botox user, but that isn’t the reason Gutfeld gave.

Gutfeld, who is also a co-host of “The Five,” one of the network’s top-rated shows, offered up his explanation as he was discussing Pelosi’s hand-selected Jan. 6 Committee’s decision to make criminal referrals to the Justice Department over then-President Donald Trump’s alleged actions leading up to the Capitol Building riot.

“The fake panel recommended the Justice Department charge Trump with insurrection, obstruction of an official proceeding, making false statements to investigators, and conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government,” Gutfeld noted, then added, “They left out the JFK assassination. But all of this is B.S. on its face, which I hear keeps Pelosi’s skin looking young. Just rub it in — if you can handle the smell.”

Gutfeld then returned to the subject of the Jan. 6 Committee and its criminal referrals: “This vote is the least shocking thing in politics; it’s Epstein was found dead in his cell, and Hillary was seen leaving the scene on a broom. The most shocking thing in politics was when Bernie Sanders accidentally peed on his neighbor’s electric fence. Not as fun as it looks.”

“Of course, the committee was the most lopsided mob since the villagers went after Frankenstein; they made it one-sided for a reason; that’s how a third-hand account of Trump attacking Secret Service from the back seat of an SUV suddenly becomes evidence,” he added. “The only two Republicans on the panel were Liz [Cheney] and Adam [Kinzinger]. Calling those two Republicans, it’s like calling the WNBA professional basketball.”

The Daily Wire added:

The investigation was conducted by seven Democratic and two Republican lawmakers. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) refused to cooperate with the committee after Pelosi rejected several of his nominees to sit on the panel. GOP Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, both of whom supported impeaching Trump over January 6, later volunteered to sit on the committee alongside the Democrats.

Members of the House Jan. 6 Committee believe that Trump is criminally liable for the riot that consumed the Capitol Building. The referrals come just days before a new Republican majority takes over the chamber and decides the fate of the Democrat-controlled committee.

According to the UK’s Daily Mail, several committee members believe that Trump may be guilty of at a trio of criminal charges, including “insurrection,” and plan to recommend that the DOJ pursue a case against the 45th president

The report that the select panel is expected to consider on Monday afternoon, described to POLITICO by two people familiar with its contents, reflects some recommendations from a subcommittee that evaluated potential criminal referrals. Among the charges that subcommittee proposes for Trump: 18 U.S.C. 2383, insurrection; 18 U.S.C. 1512(c), obstruction of an official proceeding; and 18 U.S.C. 371, conspiracy to defraud the United States government.

It’s unclear whether the select committee’s final report will recommend additional charges for Trump beyond the three described to POLITICO, or whether it will urge other criminal charges for other players in Trump’s bid to subvert his 2020 loss. The document, according to the people familiar, includes an extensive justification for the recommended charges.

To justify their referrals to the Justice Dept., the panel’s report will reference U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta’s February ruling, in which he claimed that Trump’s language plausibly incited violence on Jan. 6, 2021. They alleged that his verbiage led a mob of supporters to besiege and storm the Capitol Building intending to disrupt Congress’s certification of his loss to then-President-elect Joe Biden.

Also, the report cites the 57 votes in the Senate during last year’s impeachment trial, the second for Trump, in a failed attempt to convict him on an “incitement of insurrection” charge that the House passed.
