Newsmax TV host and former Fox News personality Eric Bolling has issued a challenge to his onetime-colleague Tucker Carlson.

After Newsmax promoted Bolling to the network’s prime-time slot, he told Carlson he’s “coming after” him, Mediaite reported.

“This show is moving to a brand new time slot, starting Tuesday,” the host said. “You can get your daily dose of common sense and knowledge with a healthy dose of stark.”

“Anderson Cooper, lookout. Coming after you. Chris Hayes, coming after you. Tucker, coming after you, pal. Got you in our sights,” he said.

“Viewers know and trust Eric Bolling as one of the most tenacious guys in TV news, and insiders know he’s a true veteran who is driven to follow the facts and deliver the news,” Newsmax CEO Chriss Ruddy said when Bolling’s show debuted in an afternoon slot.

“Every weekday, ‘Eric Bolling The Balance’ helps viewers make sense of the day’s biggest headlines from D.C., Wall Street, and the world … and most importantly, how those headlines affect the people on Main Street,” a press release added.

Bolling, 59, who had previously worked for CNBC, Fox News, Sinclair Broadcast Group, and TheBlaze, joined Newsmax in late July 2021 to fill their 4 p.m. slot.

Another former Fox News alum, Greta van Susteren, also recently signed on with Newsmax TV, which Bolling acknowledged on Twitter.

In March 2019, Bolling ran down and confronted a man who mocked the death of his son, according to The Daily Caller:

Bolling was at Trump International Hotel with conservative activist Hayden Williams in Washington, D.C., when a man allegedly approached their table while holding a phone to his ear, before turning toward the two and saying, “Eric Bolling’s son killed himself because he was embarrassed by his dad,” Bolling said on his show Thursday evening.

Bolling’s son, Eric Chase Bolling, died in September 2017 from a drug overdose.

Bolling on his show released snippets of the video, which shows him confronting a man with a blurred-out face and yelling at him.

Unedited video from the altercation reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation — on condition that it not be published — matches Bolling’s account.

“It was a drive-by hit on me using the most hateful words a human being can deliver to a grieving father. I got up and followed this hateful moron out of the hotel,” Bolling said on his BlazeTV program the following day.

“I chased him down and yelled whatever comes to the mind of a man who has just been told his son killed himself because of him. Yep, I used some bad words. Yes, I followed him and yes, I shouted at him. But no, I do not apologize,” Bolling added.

Williams went on to confirm Bolling’s account in a phone call with The Daily Caller.

“Quite frankly, it was one of the most disgusting, despicable things I’ve ever heard anyone say to another person,” said Williams.

“For someone to use my son’s death to criticize my politics shows the inhumanity of these people. They will dehumanize us every chance they can get. This is where this is all going,” Bolling said in a statement released by Blaze Media.

“I hated to show this video to anyone because it brought back all the pain of that terrible day, but I had to — as a warning, to people. There is no blow too low for these people, and we should shudder at the thought of their having more power,” Bolling added.

As for Bolling’s friend Carlson, his primetime show on Fox News recently blasted through another key milestone, according to Deadline.

Viewership results for cable news programs this week show that Carlson, as well as Fox News, smashed all of the competition. Interestingly, Carlson’s show is the number one most-watched show among Democrats in the key demographic of 25-54 year-olds.

“The data showed that Carlson pulled in 101,000 viewers who self-identified as Democrats in the 25-54 demographic. MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” and Fox’s “The Five” were tied for second place, each attracting 88,000 viewers in the key demo who self-identified as Democrats. The next two spots are occupied by Sean Hannity, who took in 81,000 young Democrat viewers, and Greg Gutfeld, who pulled 73,000,” the report found.
