Ocasio Cortez Gets Shredded By Protesters At Town Hall: ‘Because This Is Bullsh*t!’

Democrat New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got torched at a town hall when some constituents confronted her about voting to send funding to Ukraine.

The protesters expressed concerns that the United States was headed toward nuclear war and that the representative’s votes were contributing to it.

“None of this matters unless there’s a nuclear war, which you voted to send arms and weapons to Ukraine,” one of the protesters said on Wednesday. “You ran as an outsider, yet you’ve been voting to start this war in Ukraine. You’re voting to start a third nuclear war with Russia and China. Why are you playing with the lives of American citizens?”

“Tulsi Gabbard has shown guts where you’ve shown cowardice,” another protester said. “I believed in you, and you became the very thing you sought to fight against.”

“I believed in you, and you became the very thing you sought to fight against. That’s what you’ve become,” he said. “You are the establishment.”

The representative argued back but it is tough to hear in the video. But she did vote to send $40 billion in military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine in May.

This month conservative commentator Tomi Lahren unloaded on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over what she saw as a blatant act of hypocrisy regarding the New York Democrat.

The Outkick host mocked “AOC” after she complained about plans for a tent city for illegal migrants in her district who have been sent there by Republican governors in border states as a means of protesting President Joe Biden’s lax immigration and border enforcement policies.

Also, the GOP mayors are sending illegal immigrants to blue cities because they have traditionally claimed to be “sanctuaries” for migrants and have refused to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement agencies.

Ocasio-Cortez lashed out at New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) on Friday after he announced the tent city plan that could accommodate up to 1,000 illegal migrants, the New York Daily News reported. After she complained, Adams reportedly dismantled a taxpayer-funded tent shelter, Fox News reported.

“I think we can get to a place with a better solution here,” AOC reportedly said.

Lahren took issue with the New York lawmaker’s criticism on Tuesday during a “Fox & Friends” segment, during which she hit Democrats for being hypocritical when it comes to the border crisis and illegal migrant issue. She also noted that officials in Democrat-run El Paso, Texas have used federal funds to bus migrants to blue cities as well.

I think it’s quite obvious that Democrats love the idea of illegal immigrants. They love the idea of them being in the shadows, but when they’re actually confronted with it, and they have to explain it to their constituents, why their shelters and their cities and their communities are being overrun, then suddenly want to make the problem go away,” Lahren said.

“They try to tout what they do as solving a humanitarian crisis. I agree with them. There is a humanitarian crisis going on and a lot of it’s going on at our southern border where these migrants, these illegal immigrants are coming in,” she continued.

“Maybe we are getting to the point and, I don’t want to be overly optimistic, but maybe we are getting to the point where Democrats are finally going to start looking at the Biden administration, and they’re going to say we need an actual solution because we’re being inundated, we are being overrun, the border cities and states are being inundated, and now these sanctuary cities are being inundated,” Lahren added.

“Everything sounds good on paper and in a tweet until you have to deal with it in real life. AOC is finding that out. These Democrat mayors are finding it out, and I hope to goodness pretty soon the Biden administration is going to find that one out too,” she said.

Fox News added:

Since April, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has sent more than 10,000 migrants via bus from Texas to the Big Apple, in hopes of garnering attention to mitigate the ongoing border crisis.

Abbott and other GOP governors have seeking additional resources to deal with the influx of illegal immigrants as a result of the border crisis in recent months.

Some Bronx residents also complained about the migrant center, as well as Adams over his lack of progress on key issues like lowering violent crime.

“It’s very frustrating because us, as Bronx residents, are absorbing this problem,” Bronx resident Kristy Marmorato told Fox & Friends First late last month.

“It shouldn’t be our issue. It’s good to help people, and we want to help these people. We want to help them in the right way. We want to help them as they’re coming into this country the proper way, and unfortunately, they’re taking advantage of this process, and we’re absorbing this problem,” she said.

“He’s doing nothing for the city, unfortunately, and it’s kind of scary,” Marmorato said of Adams. “It’s scary. The crime rates are going up. Unemployment, especially in the Bronx, is twice the national level, he isn’t doing nothing for us, our community.”
