Geraldo Rivera Pitches New Show To Combat ‘The Five

Former Fox News host Geraldo Rivera has pitched an idea for a new show, similar to another former Fox News host, Tucker Carlson, who hosts his own show on Twitter.

The former host of the hit Fox News show “The Five” tweeted his idea for a similar show named “The Four.”

“How’s this for a show idea? #TheFour (Seriously),” he said. “I know it’s derivative, but it’s still a good idea that could competitively run on any cable news channel. An eclectic, diverse quartet of outspoken commentators-including me-covering the great events of the day, running in the 4:00pm ET hour. Thoughts?”

Rivera has continued his media tour of whining about the reasons he was axed from the top rated show, which prompted him to quit the network.

After whining to the hosts of the ABC talk show “The View,” Rivera took his complaints to NewsNation host Chris Cuomo.

“Fox left me. They fired me from the number one rated show ‘The Five.’ After they fired me, I said, ‘Well, wait a second. You know, I don’t want to work here anymore.’ If you are firing me from the number one show, what are you going to do?” he said after the host asked him why he left Fox News.

“After they fired me, they gave me a plethora of options, other programs I could do … but I said, ‘No, I don’t want to do that,’” he said.

As he said in previous interviews, he blamed the start of his end at Fox News on former primetime host Tucker Carlson’s assessment of January 6.

“When Tucker Carlson came up with his bizarre notion that Jan. 6 was an inside job, that it was federal informants who were causing trouble, that it wasn’t the insurrection that the rest of us saw, I said that that was a bunch of BS. I called BS on it,” he said.

“I got a call as soon as that was published in The Washington Post from Fox executives, who said, ‘You’re suspended. You’re not supposed to speak to the press unless you clear it with us’ — which, of course, is Catch-22 because they never clear it,” he said.

His continued references to the vague cohost at “The Five” that he had issues with got less vague on Friday when one of his former cohosts rained haymakers on him.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld has hit back at former Fox News host Geraldo Rivera, and he tore his doors off.

It came a day after Rivera appeared on the ABC talk show “The View” and made reference to a cohost he had on the Fox News show “The Five” which whom he had a “toxic relationship.”

Rivera never said who the cohost he had issues with was but it was implied that it was either Jesse Watters or Gutfeld, but after Gutfeld’s response it appears that mystery is solved.

When he was on “The View” Rivera first took aim at another former Fox News host, Tucker Carlson, before getting to “The Five.”

“I think that he is an excellent writer. I think that he was very charismatic in his presentation. He was number one for a reason, was a pretty good show. Then he drifted into this murky area where a swampy area where, you know, these conspiracy theories and it’s not just generates a whole bunch of different mucky kind of conspiracies,” he said.

“Fox is a tremendous platform. And once you lose that platform, you’re kind of screaming in the wilderness and competing with a lot of other people who have podcasts and so forth. So will he be the same character? I don’t know,” the former host said.

“I don’t like to be unkind, but that what he did, just as I would never vote for Donald Trump, I will never forgive Tucker for what he did about January 6th,” he said.
