Rashida Tlaib Refuses To Condemn Slaughter Of Jewish Babies By Hamas

It should not be tough to condemn the slaughter of innocent children, but for Michigan Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Palestine supporter, it was.

The progressive representative and member of the group known as the “Squad” was confronted by a Fox News reporter about the slaughter in Israel and she ran from the question, unable or unwilling to condemn the slaughter of Jewish babies.

FOX Business reporter Hillary Vaughn confronted the representative on Tuesday and peppered her with questions about the horrific terrorist attack by Hamas in which Jewish civilians were slaughtered.

“Congresswoman, Hamas terrorists have cut off babies’ heads and burned children alive. Do you support Israel’s rights to defend themselves against this brutality?” the reporter said as the representative ignored her.

“You can’t comment about Hamas terrorists chopping off babies’ heads? Congresswoman, do you have a comment on Hamas terrorists chopping off babies’ heads?” the reporter pressed.

“You have nothing to say about Hamas terrorists chopping off babies’ heads? Do you condone what Hamas has done chopping off babies’ heads, burning children alive, raping women in the streets? You have no comment about children’s heads being chopped off?” she said.

But the representative and her staff got into an elevator and continued to ignore the question.

“Congresswoman, why do you have the Palestinian flag outside your office if you do not condone what Hamas terrorists have done to Israel? Do Israeli lives not matter to you?” the reporter said.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, on behalf of the administration of President Joe Biden, hit back hard against statements made by some Democrats.

“I’ve seen some of those statements this weekend, and we’re going to continue to be very clear. We believe they’re wrong, we believe they’re repugnant, and we believe they’re disgraceful,” she said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

“Our condemnation belongs squarely with terrorists who have brutally murdered, raped, kidnapped hundreds, hundreds of Israelis. There can be no equivocation about that. There are not two sides here. There are not two sides,” she said.

She was responding to the statements like those of some members of the “Squad.”

“Today is devastating for all those seeking a lasting peace and respect for human rights in Israel and Palestine. I condemn Hamas’ attack in the strongest possible terms. No child and family should ever endure this kind of violence and fear, and this violence will not solve the ongoing oppression and occupation in the region. An immediate ceasefire and de-escalation is urgently needed to save lives,” New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said after the attacks.

And it was those words, “ceasefire and de-escalation,” that became a common theme among some far left Democrats, as if asking Israel not to respond to the attacks with military force, that brought so much consternation.

“Just as we honor the humanity of the hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians and 9 Americans who were killed this weekend, we must honor the humanity of the innocent Palestinian civilians who have been killed and whose lives are upended,” Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar said before going on to attack Israel.

“According to Amnesty International, Human Rights watch, the UN, and Israeli human rights group B’Tselem these policies meet the definition of apartheid. We know occupation and systematic apartheid are a violation of international law and it must end, she said.

“Palestinians have few recourses for justice and accountability. Attacks by the IDF and settlers against Palestinians are regularly met with impunity. Efforts to seek justice in international courts are stonewalled by the Israeli government, with U.S. support<’ the representative said.

“As the world is condemning Hamas’s attacks, we must also oppose an Israeli military response that has already taken the lives of hundreds of Palestinians, including nearly two dozen children,” she said.

“The Israeli Defense Minister has called Palestinians ‘human animals’ and promised to cut off all electricity, all food, and all fuel to civilians in Gaza,” she said, which was a lie. The Israeli Defense Minister referred to the terrorist group Hamas as “human animals,” not Palestinians.

“I grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day,” Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib said as she went on to criticize Israel. “I am determined as ever to fight for a just future where everyone can live in peace, without fear and with true freedom, equal rights, and human dignity. The path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.

“The failure to recognize the violent reality of living under siege, occupation, and apartheid makes no one safer,” she said. “No person, no child anywhere should have to suffer or live in fear of violence. We cannot ignore the humanity in each other. As long as our country provides billions in unconditional funding to support the apartheid government, this heartbreaking cycle of violence will continue.”
