Former President Donald Trump has held his first rally since his successor, President Joe Biden, disparaged him and his supporters as “MAGA Republicans” during a prime-time speech last week.

Trump appeared to return the favor, so to speak, by labeling Biden an “enemy of the state” during a raucous rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Saturday night.

The 45th president, whom many believe will run for the 2024 GOP nomination, ripped Biden for the “most vicious, hateful, and divisive speech ever delivered by a [U.S.] president,” and for “vilifying 75 million citizens, plus another probably 75 to 150 [million], if we want to be accurate about it, as threats to democracy and as enemies of the state.”

“You’re all enemies of the state. He’s an enemy of the state if you want to know the truth. The enemy of the state is him and the group that control[s] him, which is circling around him. ‘Do this, do that, Joe,'” Trump continued.

Trump also criticized the theatrics of Biden’s speech: A dimly-lit background at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, with two U.S. Marines flanking a red-tinged backdrop.

“How’d you like the red lighting behind him like the devil?” Trump asked the crowd.

Trump also laced into Biden’s Justice Department and FBI over the raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate last month, which he said affected not just him but all of his supporters, in a way.

“It was not just my home that was raided last month — it was the hopes and dreams of every citizen who I have been fighting for since the moment I came down the golden escalator in 2015, wanting to represent the people, wanting to stop the massive corruption in this country,” he said, as noted by Newsmax.

“The radical Democrats are engaging in a desperate attempt to keep me from returning to the White House, where they know I will clean this mess up again,” Trump noted further. “They want to stop us from completing our mission to bring back American values.”

He said the raid was conducted “on a phony pretext” in order to distract from Biden’s failing agenda that includes massive inflation, a chaotic southwestern border, and a radical shift to a green agenda.

“The Biden administration invaded the home of their chief political opponent, who is absolutely destroying him and everyone else in the polls — I hate to say it — even including the Republicans, but we love the Republicans,” Trump said. He added that the raid occurred after “getting permission from a highly political magistrate, who they handpicked late in the evening, just days before the break in and trampled upon my rights and civil liberties.”

Trump also noted for the first time that his 16-year-old son Barron’s room was invasively searched as well.

“They rifled through the first lady’s closet drawers and everything else, and even did a deep and ugly search of the room of my 16-year-old son, leaving everything they touched in far different conditions than it was when they started,” Trump said. “Can you believe it?

“The FBI and the Justice Department have become vicious monsters, controlled by radical-left scoundrels, lawyers, and the media who tell them what to do,” he said, adding that Biden has politicized federal law enforcement to meddle in the upcoming elections and the political process in general.

“They’re trying to silence me, and more importantly, they are trying to silence you, but we will not be silenced, right?” Trump said. “We will never stop speaking the truth.

“We have no choice, because we’re not going to have a country left. The evil and malice of this demented persecution of you and me should be obvious to all and it is. Even media companies that are pretty far left have come out and said, ‘We can’t believe this is happening in the USA,'” he added.

“I will never turn my back on you, and you will never turn your back on me because we love our nation, and we will save our nation from people who are trying to destroy it,” Trump noted.

“These are bad people. They’re trying to destroy our country, and we can’t let it go on any longer because we have too much work to do.”
