Conservatives Call For Probe Of SCOTUS Leak; Warn Justices In Jeopardy

Conservatives are furious at the leak of a draft from the Supreme Court that would, if the ruling stays the same, end Roe V Wade.

It is the first time in history that a draft of a ruling on a Supreme Court case has ever been leaked and people are demanding justice, starting with Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.

On Tuesday the Chief Justice confirmed in a press release that the leaked draft published by Politico was authentic and that he has instructed the court’s Marshal to take action.

“Yesterday, a news organization published a copy of a draft opinion in a pending case. Justices circulate draft opinions internally as a routine and essential part of the Court’s confidential deliberative work. Although the document described in yesterday’s reports is authentic, it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues in the case,” the press release said.

“To the extent this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed. The work of the Court will not be affected in any way,” the Chief Justice said.

“We at the Court are blessed to have a workforce – permanent employees and law clerks alike – intensely loyal to the institution and dedicated to the rule of law. Court employees have an exemplary and important tradition of respecting the confidentiality of the judicial process and upholding the trust of the Court. This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here,” he argued.

“I have directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak,” he said.

And he was not alone.

“The SCOTUS leak is an actual insurrection. An attempt to completely upend and delegitimize the rule of law, incite violence and chaos, and potentially plunge the nation into civil war. January 6th was a stroll in the park compared to this. It’s not even close,” conservative writer Matt Walsh said.

“This leak has to come from a clerk or Justice themselves,” he said. “It is intended to blow up the court. Criminal investigation needs to happen now.”

“I have been covering politics for 20 years and *never* once heard of a draft SCOTUS opinion leaking. This is an insurrection on the legal system and rule of law,” Benny Johnson said.

“I hope whoever is responsible for the leaked draft opinion is fired, prosecuted, and has to serve real jail time,” Sen. Ted Cruz said.

“The Supreme Court is not a venue for public opinion. It’s a venue for the rule of law. Radicalized Democrats have obviously abandoned that view today in favor of whipping up a mob to intimidate the Court. Shameful. Prosecute the leaker and protect the sanctity of the Court!: Scott Jennings said.

“Leaking SCOTUS opinions before they’re published is more of an “attack on democracy” than anything they’ve EVER falsely accused the right of doing. Locate, arrest, and prosecute the leakers,” Charlie Kirk said.

“If this story is true, the Court should issue its opinion right away,” tweeted former federal prosecutor and Fox News contributor Andrew McCarthy. “Otherwise the disgraceful leak wins. I would say that if my side lost. If we lose the integrity of the Court’s process, we lose the Court. That should be intolerable to all of us who live the country.”

“If there’s not thorough criminal investigation into who leaked privileged documents from the United States Supreme Court then we live in a clown show state. For Perspective: The FBI sent 15 people to investigate a garage pull,” Donald Trump Jr. said.

“The FBI is going to find the Supreme Court leaker… it only took them 15 agents a couple of days to look at a rope in Bubba Wallace’s garage … so I’ll assume this will take them until about just after the November election to solve,” Tim Young said.
