As The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh-produced documentary “What Is A Woman” continues to generate buzz and conversation amid rising viewership numbers, the world’s richest man has weighed in with his take.

Elon Musk responded to a take on the film from author Matt Taibbi, who noted on Twitter: “I wonder if we’re institutionalizing stereotypes about gender in the same way academics have tried to institutionalize stereotypes about how ‘hard work,’ ‘being polite,’ ‘punctuality’ and the ‘written word’ are ‘white culture.'”

That led the SpaceX and Tesla founder and CEO to write of the groundbreaking film: “We are simultaneously being told that gender differences do not exist and that genders are so profoundly different that irreversible surgery is the only option. Perhaps someone wiser than me can explain this dichotomy.”

He added: “It is a better world if we are all less judgy.”

The Daily Wire adds:

What is a Woman?” features Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh’s quest to understand Left-wing gender theory by asking one simple question of leading medical professionals, activists, and lawmakers. Despite his good faith efforts to sit down with promulgators of the ideology, Walsh is repeatedly met with deflections and character accusations.

In the documentary, Walsh also interviews clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson, theologian Carl Trueman, and multiple women forced to compete against biological men in sports — including a female teammate of transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. At one point, Walsh travels halfway across the globe to seek answers from the Maasai people of Kenya — who, despite their lack of exposure to collegiate gender studies coursework, seem to have a far better grip on biology than many Americans brandishing their PhDs.

Walsh ultimately responded to Musk that his efforts to challenge gender theorists on their assumptions were ultimately unsuccessful: “I talked to the ‘wise’ in the film and it turns out they can’t explain anything at all.”

So-called ‘progressive’ and left-wing outlets and commentators have essentially trashed the documentary.

For instance, on Friday Rolling Stone claimed in a hit piece that the film is “transphobic” while going on to rip social media companies for allowing The Daily Wire to buy advertising on their platforms for it. However, after the article was published, Walsh neutered Rolling Stone by noting that The Daily Wire reached out to the writer of the article, Moises Mendez II, to actually view the film earlier this week. Notably, Mendez refused and did not watch any of the film before reaching his conclusions about it; he then locked his Twitter account after Walsh called him out, the outlet reported.

“I’d like Rolling Stone to explain how they arrived at these damning conclusions despite not watching the movie,” Walsh asked. “Do they make a habit of reviewing movies without watching them? How many other reviews were written this way? Or is mine the first? If so, why?”

Last week, The Daily Wire invited numerous critics to see the film — but many responded with profanity and blanket accusations of “transphobic” bigotry.

“Unsubscribe. Lose my email. Forget my name,” one complained.

“Hard f***ing pass. I won’t give that transphobic bigot a platform on my site,” wrote another. “Never email me again!”

“Absolutely f***ing not. He’s a bigot and you should be ashamed to be associated with him,” a third critic whined. “Have a great weekend!”

“Yeah, I’m not reviewing a film by a bigot,” another lashed out.

“It’s the most important documentary in America,” Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro said. “That’s why so many people want to stop you from seeing it.”

As for Musk, he made headlines again recently for making an extremely rare political endorsement: Rick Caruso, a former Republican-turned-Democrat who is running for mayor of Los Angeles.

“Los Angeles is fortunate to have someone like Rick Caruso running for mayor. He’s awesome,” he said.

“It is rare for me to endorse political candidates. My political leanings are moderate, so neither fully Republican nor Democrat, which I am confident is the case for most Americans. Executive competence is super underrated in politics – we should care about that a lot more!” he said.
